There is nothing better than helping others achieve their goal. I am proud to be a member of Jeff's team to assist him in reaching his impossible. This journey will be filled with physical and mental struggles, long days and sleepless nights, ups and downs and teamwork that will make this impossible for Jeff and all of his team come true.
For me personally this will be an impossible too. Throughout my life I have battled with Crohn's disease, an autoimmune disease that affects my digestive system, immune system and mental health. I have been in and out of the hospital too many times and have endured several surgeries to remove diseased intestine and scar tissue. I lived two years with an ostomy bag and was fortunate enough to have that reversed by a very skilled surgeon. Every day is a struggle for me trying to figure out what to eat and constant trips to the bathroom. My nomadic life made it even more difficult, but I never let my impossible disease beat me down. With every adventure and life turn, I figured out how not to say no and say "yes I can do that," but in my own way. I have hiked over 7000 miles, thru hiked the Appalachian Trail and Te Araroa in New Zealand. I have climbed several high peaks like Rainer, Hood and Denali. All while struggling with Crohn's. I embrace everyday as if it will be my last. Climbing Kilimanjaro has been a dream of mine and this expedition seems impossible but with your support it will be possible. Thank you and happy trails!
