A lot of good organizations make sure a child in Kenya has food, a home, and a way through school. Sponsorship programs, children's homes, and others like them. Ask the people running them what worries them most and you get the same answer every time: what happens to a teenager who ages out. The support ends, the qualifications are thin, and the job market does not care where they grew up.

Kingdom Worx exists for that moment.

It is a digital services staffing agency in Kawangware, one of Nairobi's largest informal settlements. It trains young people in work the world actually pays for, including photo editing, digital marketing, appointment setting, customer service and sales. It also trains the things that keep a job once you have it: work habits, time management, planning ahead.

Then it hires them. Real company, real clients, real deadlines, and wages they can build a future on.

Eleven people have been doing this work since 2014. Fred Igwasa, among the first hired that year, now runs it as Managing Director. Our Kenyan partner Chosen Children of Promise is serving about twenty-two high school graduates facing exactly this transition.

We are not asking anyone to fund Kingdom Worx forever. The aim is for it to stand entirely on what it earns, which we currently put at around month twenty-two from formalization. What you give buys the runway to get there.
