The Kingmaker Ascend Scholarship helps Black boys transition into college supported, prepared, and encouraged. This initiative will provide 10 graduating seniors with $400 scholarships to help cover dorm-room and college-transition essentials before they start school in August 2026.

For many students, the financial pressure begins before the first class ever starts. Basic needs like bedding, toiletries, supplies, and move-in essentials quickly become barriers.

This is more than a scholarship — it is a direct investment in the future of Black boys and a reminder that their community believes in them.
