It goes without saying that one of the most significant keys to a successful and rewarding life in modern society lies in proper literacy.  The ability to read and write is paramount in the development of not only the individual, but society as a whole.  Yet our county has pockets of illiteracy that trend as high as 24% of the population – representing thousands of our neighbors that we have the power to lift up, and to improve their lives and those of their families.  Please assist me in enabling READ Lakeland to continue and expand its mission to empower those in need – I assure you that your support and generosity will forever be appreciated by those you help.
