Dr. Melody Rider has dedicated nearly 30 years to advancing education and creating opportunities for learners of all ages. As President of ConnectED Polk, she works to unite education, business, higher education, and community partners to inspire students and strengthen Polk County's future workforce.
A first-generation college graduate, Dr. Rider earned five post-secondary degrees, including a Doctorate in Education Leadership. Throughout her career as a teacher, education leader, Academic Dean, Executive Director, and Campus President, she has remained committed to the belief that education changes lives.
Dr. Rider is proud to support READ Lakeland, because strong literacy skills open doors to opportunity, independence, and lifelong success. She believes every child and adult deserves the chance to read with confidence and is honored to help champion literacy throughout our community.
