The City of Mobile Animal Services is preparing for an exciting new chapter with its move to a brand-new facility in May 2027, and we are so excited for what this means for animals in our community!

As part of this transition, Friends of Mobile Animal Shelter (FOMAS) is proud to work alongside Mobile Animal Services to expand lifesaving resources for pets throughout our community. FOMAS will be opening a dedicated Cat Lifesaving & Adoption Center that will complement the services provided at the City’s new facility and allow us to significantly grow the programs we already provide.

The FOMAS Cat Lifesaving & Adoption Center will be privately funded by FOMAS through donations, fundraising, grants, and community support.

With this new space, our goal is to expand TNR efforts, increase access to community spay and neuter services for both cats and dogs, grow our transport network for pets in need, and create even more opportunities for cats to find loving homes.

While FOMAS and Mobile Animal Services will operate from separate facilities, we will continue working together toward the same goal: improving outcomes and expanding lifesaving opportunities for animals throughout Mobile.

This next chapter is about partnership, growth, and investing in the future of animal welfare in our community. We are incredibly grateful for our continued relationship with Mobile Animal Services and excited for everything we can accomplish together.

Two facilities. One shared mission. More lives saved.
