Food insecurity was a huge issue for me growing up in the late 70s & 80s and some days the only food that I consumed was my free lunch from school. I know firsthand what a barrier an empty stomach can be on a student’s success and I want to help open doors so that no child knows the struggle of an empty belly & pantry.
The Knit for Food Knit-a-thon will take place virtually on March 26th, from 10am-10pm ET.
Zoom programming is completely optional! You could stay home on your own, get together with another knitter, or gather with a group of crafty friends at your LYS and stay offline. The choice is completely yours.
