Hi! My name is Gaye Glasspie better known in the knitting community as GG of GGmadeit. I participate in this fundraiser (3rd time now) because there but for my mother’s determination, go I. I could have suffered from food insecurity as I grew up in the system (welfare) I remember the social worker coming to visit. They came to check and make sure we were following the rules to receive food stamps. As humiliating as that was, my mother kept her head high, because although the money was intended to feed the two of us, she refused to see anyone hungry. Gale fed, cleaned up and gave away my clothes to anyone that needed it. So I’m asking that you help me keep my mother’s legacy alive but donating to this fundraiser. 100% of the funds will be split equally between Meals on Wheels, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Feeding America.
