Julibeth Corwin's Story
During the pandemic I volunteered with Red Hook Responds delivering meals to food insecure families in my area. It was an eye opening experience to witness how my neighbors were experiencing food insecurity and how my community came together to support those in need. As a lifelong knitter I know coming together with my fiber community can have a profound impact on food insecurity through the Knit For Food Knitathon. I am so proud of my friend,knitwear designer Laura Nelkin for creating this Knitathon and bringing us together to make a difference.
