Knit for Food Knit-a-thon 2026

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the quiet nature of making. So much of what we do as knitters and crocheters happens at home, in small pockets of time... early mornings, evenings on the couch, in between the rhythms of daily life. It’s steady, comforting, and often deeply personal. This weekend, I’m choosing to connect that same quiet making to something larger. I’m participating in the Knit for Food Knit-a-Thon alongside thousands of other makers, all coming together to raise funds for organizations working to address hunger. What I love about this event is its simplicity: We take something we already do, something we love, and offer that time and attention in support of others. I’ll be spending the day knitting, likely working on a piece from my current Hearth & Home collection, and holding that connection in mind as I do. If you feel called to support, I’m so grateful.
