Knit for Food Knit-a-thon 2026

In 2023, Worcester Knitty Council asked the question "Can knitting together save the city?" Today, Greater Boston Food Bank reports that more 40% of Massachusetts residents are food insecure. Worcester County Food Bank, which provides meals for thousands of community residents through hundreds of food pantries and meal programs, is facing unprecedented challenges. Elder Services of Worcester Area serves hundreds of customized meals through Meals on Wheels daily to older Worcester residents. Your pledge supports the national agencies that support our local organizations. Join our team for the Knit-a-thon or make a donation because knitting (crocheting, needlepoint, beadwork, fidget spinners!) may not singlehandedly save the city, but every dollar provides food for up to 9 meals.
