Dear Yetzirah Community Member,

Yetzirah is a community where Jewish life is accessible, welcoming, and meaningful. (Please see our mission statement below.) We are very fortunate to have a rabbi who is committed to making Judaism available to our community without barriers, and who is visible to and engaged in the larger community in and around Basking Ridge.

Without the costs associated with owning a building, we are able to focus more of our resources on what matters most: people, programs, learning, prayer, and community. Which is exactly what we have been doing for the past 18 months!

However, running our congregation is not without expenses. We are committed to operating Yetzirah using a voluntary financial responsibility model - where each individual supports us at the level that they are able. Your generous support helps provide the following for our Yetzirah community :

Rabbi Robert’s time and guidance. To date he has not taken a salary, but we must start supporting him as he supports us!
Our cantorial soloist for the High Holidays
Educational and cultural programming, including: films, book discussions, and community learning opportunities
Guest speakers
Community dinners, holiday celebrations, seders, and onegs
Boring operating necessities, such as insurance and website domain.

Please make your donation to support Yetzirah for the High Holidays and for the exciting year ahead!

There are two options for making your donation:

Either donate through GiveButter

or mail a check to:

Every contribution helps Yetzirah thrive and grow. We are thankful for each donation. Our goal is 100% participation, at a level you are comfortable with, allowing each of us to fulfill our responsibility to make the world a better place by building community. Be an active part of Yetzirah; financially, spiritually, and socially!

May 5787 bless you, your family, and our world with peace and happiness,

Judy

Mission Statement:

Congregation Yetzirah is an inclusive, independent synagogue in the Somerset Hills of New Jersey, devoted to spiritual growth and connection in the Jewish tradition. We gather for joyful prayer, lifelong Torah study, and meaningful Jewish engagement, beginning with our children and continuing through every stage of life. Guided by our commitment to tikkun olam, repairing our world, we engage in tzedakah, social action, and gemilut chasadim, acts of loving-kindness. Together, we support one another in times of challenge and celebrate life's blessings and simchas as a shared community.
