She Rises – The Voice of Saraswati

Rescue is the beginning. What comes next matters too.

Through the KunYin® x Marici partnership, She Rises – The Voice of Saraswati walks alongside girls in Nepal who have been freed from exploitation as they begin the long journey of rebuilding safety, trust and connection within themselves.

And we are seeing change.

Now in our sixth journey in Nepal, the girls are moving with greater freedom. They are making more of their own choices. They are becoming more comfortable with stillness and relaxation. They are expressing themselves more openly and beginning to recognise what helps them feel safe, calm and connected within their own bodies.

These may sound like small moments.

For a young girl whose body has not always felt like a safe place to be, they can mean so much more.

From survival to possibility.

She Rises uses trauma-informed movement, music, emotional expression and embodied practices to create a consistent space where the girls can reconnect with their bodies and voices at their own pace.

There is nothing to perform and nothing to get right.

There is choice.

There is safety.

There is space to feel.

And, week after week, there is an opportunity to experience something different within themselves.

We are now seeing girls move beyond simply following the instructor and begin making their own movement choices. We are seeing deeper rest and relaxation. More freedom of expression. More confidence. More connection.

Most importantly, we are seeing what can happen when this work is allowed to continue.

And now, She Rises is growing.

Our sixth Nepal journey is underway, and Cambodia is next.

Our vision is to create sustainable, year-round programming that reaches more girls, trains local facilitators and ultimately develops a Survivor-to-Leader pathway, giving young women the opportunity to carry this work forward within their own communities.

But sustainable change requires sustainable support.

Your donation helps us keep showing up.

It helps fund the facilitators, training, safeguarding, coordination and ongoing six-week journeys that allow these girls to return to this work again and again.

Because healing is not one class.

It is not one six-week program.

And it does not end when a girl is rescued.

It is the journey of helping her feel safe enough to come home to herself, reclaim her voice, and begin imagining what her life could become.

Together, we rise.

Help us continue the journey.
