Story
To kick off our fiscal year, the Mississippi Kidney Foundation holds the annual Kidney Walk in honor of the memory of Michael Rubenstein, a beloved sports broadcast legend, previous Executive Director of the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame Museum, a devoted member of our community who battled kidney disease with unwavering strength and courage.
The Kidney Walk is an annual event that brings together individuals, families, and organizations to raise awareness and support for the kidney disease community. During the walk, we host the Kidney Family Picnic, a heartwarming gathering where participants can connect, share their stories, and find solace in a supportive community. It's a time to reflect on the challenges faced by those with kidney disease and celebrate the resilience and determination they exhibit daily. In addition to the walk and picnic, vendors set up booths throughout the event to encourage support for small business owners and healthcare vendors to provide valuable products and services related to kidney health.
Without the support of our unwavering supporters, donors, volunteers, vendors, and staff, we would not continuously have a successful event each year. We are grateful for the generous support of our sponsors, who play a vital role in fundraising for the event. Their contributions enable us to significantly impact the lives of individuals and families affected by kidney disease.
