The Alternative School Break Club (ASB) sponsors student-led engagement trips centered around social justice topics. Students research their topics and form connections with community organizations before immersing themselves in week-long learning trips over winter and spring breaks. Through direct service, education, and reflection, teams of students gain an understanding of cultural perspectives that they then share with the campus community through educational panels and events upon their return.

One of our central goals is to ensure that these impactful experiences are accessible to individuals from various financial backgrounds. Everyone should have the chance to engage in these powerful educational experiences, and financial limitations should never be a barrier. By expanding our trips and increasing accessibility, we aim to create a more inclusive and diverse participant base.
