6/14/2020 Update: We have decided to raise our fundraising goal to $20,000 due to the amazing support we have received from the Lafayette community. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the fundraiser so far and supported us in raising over $8,000 in the past three days! Shoutout to the Association of Black Collegians, DG, and IFC for all of your hard work in getting us started with so much energy! We look forward to the next week and a half with more great organizations and amazing content! Be sure to check out our Instagram, @laf_racialjustice! Thank you for all your active engagement and support! This isn't just a moment, it's a movement...

Lafayette Student Government along with the student organizations listed below stand united against racism, hatred, bigotry, and violence.  We are coming together to raise awareness, educate our community, and collect donations for the following organizations that are helping protestors and black communities.

  • POWER Bail Fund-Lehigh Valley: “The POWER Bail Fund-Lehigh Valley is a non-profit community organization dedicated to freeing our community members from jail in Lehigh and Northampton Counties and ending the practice of Cash Bail in Pennsylvania.”
  • The Homeless Black Trans Women Fund: “The Homeless Black Trans Women Fund seeks to provide temporary and permanent housing options and mental and physical health resources for Black trans women in Atlanta.”
  • Black Lives Matter-New York: “Black Lives Matter-New York seeks to liberate our people at all costs. We believe in building community through civic engagement, education, and mentorship. Our vision is to directly impact the policies that impact our conditions focusing on: criminal justice reform, basic public safety, fair and equal access to education, jobs, and infrastructure.”

Join us as we stand up to injustices and collect funds to support organizations that are working to enact much needed change in the United States.
