Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $25,000, to raise funds for this invaluable school necessity.

LAPTOPS FOR STUDENTS

In today’s learning environment a laptop is a necessity for even young elementary school students. Since many assignments make use of the internet in some form, a student without a reliable computer is at a distinct disadvantage.

We’ve worked with students who borrow laptops from the local library if available, others tried to use public computers which limit or prohibit interactive participation for a virtual class session. Some are trying to get through college with only a cell phone or a broken device for assignments. Older students have great difficulty trying to juggle virtual English lessons via video call while viewing worksheets on their phone at the same time. A laptop would be an answer to prayer for many.

Our tutors are some of the first to recognize the need for reliable devices and the limitations faced by the students, but we simply did not have resources to meet these needs... until now!

Please help make this opportunity possible. This is a one-time gift and all funds raised will be used for students' laptops. If funds remain, any remaining funds will be fully allocated for educational purposes via our RISE/RISE Scholars programs. Founded in 2006, PSALT NK is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) non-profit Christian charity dedicated to the needs of North Korean refugees. PSALT's work includes addressing the educational needs of North Korean refugees through RISE (Resource Initiative to Support Education). RISE services include ELL and academic tutoring, college application and essay support, career mentorship, and live education-related webinars.
