The Well Mental and Spiritual Care is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) practice of therapy/counseling, spiritual direction, and life coaching in the Triangle of North Carolina. The Well is housed at Edenton Street United Methodist Church and Macedonia United Methodist Church, two of our primary partners in this work. Our team engages with other partners in the community in order to collaboratively work to increase access to mental and spiritual care.

All the best things in life are born out of friendship. The Well is a dream that was incubated in friendship. In the spring of 2021, Rev. Amanda Rigby and Dr. Elizabeth Watters had a middle-of-the-night conversation about how to become partners in offering mental and spiritual care in the community. Several years of planning and dreaming later and The Well Mental and Spiritual Care was born in the summer of 2023.

In the last several years, The Well has grown into a multi-site practice with a team of incredible licensed and certified mental health and spiritual care practitioners. We continue our mission of creating pathways toward healing and wholeness in the community by offering accessible and affordable mental and spiritual care.
