The mission of the Livingston County Literacy Coalition (LCLC) is to champion the value of adult literacy, build essential community connections, and provide free, life-changing educational support for our neighbors.

Literacy is the ultimate cornerstone of human dignity, workforce growth, and family stability. We match motivated adult learners with passionately trained volunteer tutors to provide completely free, confidential, 1-on-1 programs tailored to real-world success:

Adult Basic Education (ABE): Personalized tutoring to master foundational reading and writing.
ESL Tutoring & Language Groups: Building immediate conversational confidence and language fluency.
Digital Literacy & Senior Outreach: Equipping workforce learners with tech skills, while visiting local senior residential complexes to teach device navigation and online safety.
Workplace Literacy Partnerships: Collaborating directly with local manufacturers to upskill workers on-site.
