UPDATE NOVEMBER 2

Thanks to all of YOU for your generous donations, he had his full mouth extractions done and is recovering in Sophie's care. Here he is expressing himself at being taken back to the vet today for his follow-up check. His poor mouth is still very sore with swollen tissues. He got laser treatment to help with healing, plus new meds for pain, infection and inflammation.

Raggedy lives in a colony of stray and feral cats. He was found wearing a collar, which means he was once, long ago, somebody's cat.

He cries in pain every time he tries to eat, drooling and sticking his tongue out. This has been going on for a long time.

When Sophie, a new feeder, decided she had to get poor Raggedy some help, she asked Peninsula Catworks if we could help fund his vet care. Here is the veterinary estimate - $2,727.

Raggedy has stomatitis, an inflammatory auto-immune condition where he is allergic to the plaque on his teeth. The only "cure" is to have all the teeth, except the very front ones, extracted. He also has several infected "tumors" on his gums and tongue which need to be biopsied. This will be done while he is under anesthesia prior to the extractions.
