My name is Cole Shaffer, and I am 12 years old. I want to tell you a little about my special friend Livvy who passed away in August 2023 after a surgical procedure.

Livvy and I met at preschool when we were only 2 years old. I have high functioning Autism, and Livvy was born with Chiari 1 Malformation. It is a condition in which brain tissue extends into the spinal canal, and is present at birth.

Both Livvy & I struggled to meet our developmental milestones, including speech. However, we both understood each other right from the start! We went to school together all the way through kindergarten when I moved to Pennsylvania.

Our families remained close, spending time together at the holidays, attending special events for each other, and making it a point to visit and keep in touch. Livvy was my first best friend, and such a special part of my life!

I am running the “Legos for Livvy” fundraiser to help raise money for the Olivia Marie Hill Foundation Inc. Livvy loved music, and wanted to be a songwriter when she grew up. Her foundation plans to support graduating seniors annually who were actively involved in STEAM, Music related activities, and Lacrosse during their high school careers.

The “Legos for Livvy” fundraiser includes over $850 in Lego themed prizes and gift cards!
Raffle tickets are $5.00 each, and the drawing will be held on Sunday, June 30th @ 8pm!
