Raíces Comunales: Latinx Legacies of Comida and Climate

In Tucson, we celebrate gastronomy, comida, and legacy businesses, exploring how food traditions carry culture forward while confronting the ways climate change impacts our kitchens and crops.

Join us in Tucson for a special Abuelas workshop where community will learn of local food traditions, legacy businesses, and Latinx heritage preservation. Together we’ll explore how comida connects us to memory, place, and identity, while also looking at how climate change shapes our kitchens, crops, and communities. Through oral histories, mapping, and digital storytelling, participants will learn the importance of co-creating narratives that celebrate Tucson’s sabor and highlight community resilience for the future.
