We are raising money to help us continue the fight to prevent drunk driving fatalities. In 2016, Marcus Kowal and Mishel Eder lost their son, Liam Kowal in a drunk-driving crash. Liam was on an afternoon walk with his aunt at roughly 3:30 pm when a drunk driver struck both. Liam's aunt suffered serious injuries and survived but Liam tragically succumbed to his injuries. Marcus and Mishel were compelled to take action. They started Liam's Life Foundation to end drunk driving fatalities because all alcohol-related crashes are 100% preventable. Drinking and driving is not a victimless crime and it can impact anyone, at any time. Liam's Life Foundation is hosting the Liam's Life Open for BJJ practitioners because of the family ties within the martial arts community. Martial arts brings people together and together we can stop alcohol-related crashes.
