Liberation Birthways: A Cultural Immersion & Birth Justice Journey

The Perinatal Consulting Girlz Presents: Liberation Birthways Delegation - A Cultural Immersion & Birth Justice Journey

Where: Liberia, West Africa

When: November 2025

What is Liberation Birthways: The Liberation Birthways Delegation is the premier global birth justice and cultural immersion initiative facilitated by The Perinatal Consulting Girlz. Rooted in the belief that birth justice is global justice, this program creates opportunities for Black birthworkers, maternal health professionals, and advocates to connect across the African diaspora, advancing solutions to improve birth outcomes worldwide.

In November 2025, the Delegation will travel to Liberia, West Africa for a 7-day immersion experience that blends cultural reconnection, clinical exchange, and community engagement. Participants will explore Liberia’s deep historical roots and its current maternal health landscape while building relationships with local clinicians, midwives, and public health leaders.

This immersive experience is designed for US based, Black maternal and child health professionals, birthworkers, and birth justice advocates who are ready to deepen their global perspective on maternal and child health. Participants will engage in rich cultural experiences, clinical exchange, and shared learning to advance maternal and child health outcomes through a diasporic lens.

Help us raise $50,000 to make this experience accessible to frontline birthworkers and ensure birth is sacred and safe—everywhere. Liberia is the 5th most dangerous place in the world to give birth. Your contribution will help in bridging Africa and the diaspora, advance equity for Black mothers and birthing people, and leave a legacy of healthier futures. Your sponsorship directly invests in sustainable, community-rooted change and long-term collaboration between U.S. and Liberian maternal health leaders.
