Set More Tables.

Not every family gets a Thanksgiving. Some years the money runs out before the month does, and the fourth Thursday in November becomes just another day to get through. This year, we're changing that for 1,100 families.

Lifekind Foundation was built on a simple idea: no one should be asked to heal while hungry. Every month, our food banks in San Jacinto and Victorville hand a bag of groceries to hundreds of households, with a dietician approved bilingual recipe card tucked inside so the ingredients turn into a meal. We do it quietly, through trusted community partners, without a line and without a single question about why someone came.

The Thanksgiving Drive is the biggest thing we do all year, and it works the way everything we do works. A family registers with just their name. On a Saturday in November they come to us: November 7 in Hemet, November 14 in Victorville, November 21 in Scottsdale. They leave with a $50 grocery card to choose the turkey, the ham, or the foods their family prefers, plus a box packed with every traditional side. The stuffing, the potatoes, the cranberries, the pie. Then they carry it home, and on Thanksgiving Day the table is theirs. Their kitchen, their recipes, their people.

That's what "set more tables" means. Not a meal handed over. A whole day a family gets to make their own.

Every gift sets another table. $100 is one family's complete Thanksgiving dinner, start to finish. $500 is five tables on one block. $1,000 is an entire apartment building sitting down on the same night.

Set a table. Set ten. Every one of them will be full.
