Summer Cancer Care Fund for Loreto, Baja Sur California Families

Cancer doesn’t take the summer off — and neither do we.

Every week, cancer patients in Loreto must travel long distances to La Paz and beyond for diagnostics, chemotherapy, specialist appointments, and treatment.

For many families, the cost of transportation becomes a barrier to care.

That’s why we created Light the Way.

Together with Onco Loreto, we are working to fund critical travel support for at least 40 current cancer patients who need help reaching treatment. Your donation could be the one that allows us to expand our programs further in rural Baja Sur.

In May alone, Onco Loreto supported 5 newly diagnosed cancer patients — real people facing urgent medical decisions, financial stress, and uncertainty about how they will access care.

Your gift helps remove one of the biggest barriers between a patient and treatment: getting there.

Just this month, a newly diagnosed breast cancer patient delayed care simply because she could not afford the trip.

Summer also brings a quieter economic season for many families in the community, creating additional financial pressure at the exact moment medical needs may be increasing.
