Story

Light Up Montclair: Diwali 2022
In Partnership with Montclair Art Museum

All are welcome to join our AAPI community as we celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights!

Sunday, October 30th 2pm - 6pm
Montclair Art Museum, Montclair, New Jersey

Rain Date: Sunday, November 6th

********

Diwali, the festival of lights, commemorates a triumph of light over darkness and is a time for all to gather together and celebrate new beginnings.

AAPI Montclair’s annual Diwali festival honors the diverse, rich traditions of the South Asian diaspora. Spend the day with us at the iconic Montclair Art Museum while enjoying live performances, family-friendly arts & crafts, readings from local South Asian authors, and sweet and savory bites from popular neighborhood restaurants and food trucks. With your ticket you'll also get an opportunity to explore the galleries at MAM. And be sure to stay until the end, when you’ll get a chance to learn first-hand how to dance like a Bollywood star with a special performance by BollyX!

Following our core value of inclusion, we have set general admission at just $7 for non-members (fee waivers available) and $25 for families (limit to 5 attendees per family). Children under the age of 5 are admitted free. This event is free to MAM members! Please reserve your free tickets through the "Tickets & Donate" button. (Become a MAM member today!)

If an additional donation is within your means, we offer our deepest thanks for helping to keep this celebration affordable for all.

We hope you can join us for this day full of light, music and dance!
