Supporting Lily Massey: Standing with Her as She Fights and Heals

On Friday night, tragedy struck the Massey family in a devastating auto accident. Third-grader Lily Massey was left in critical condition, and the crash tragically took the life of her father, Joe Massey.

This unbearable loss comes just a year after Lily and her family lost her beloved mother, Heather Massey—the cherished former band director at Walker Junior High School in La Palma—to kidney cancer. Now, facing an unimaginable road ahead, Lily is fighting to recover without her parents by her side.

Lily’s grandparents are stepping in to care for her, traveling back and forth from Texas to be at her bedside, manage her medical care, and support her long-term recovery and future.
