Supporting Lily Massey: Standing with Her as She Fights and Heals

On Friday night, September 11, 2026, tragedy struck the Massey family in a devastating auto accident. Third-grader Lily Massey was left in critical condition, and the crash tragically took the life of her father, Joe Massey.

This unbearable loss comes just a year after Lily and her family lost her beloved mother, Heather Massey—the cherished former band director at Walker Junior High School in La Palma—to kidney cancer. Now, facing an unimaginable road ahead, Lily is fighting to recover without her parents by her side.

Lily’s grandparents are stepping in to care for her, traveling back and forth from Texas to be at her bedside, manage her medical care, and support her long-term recovery and future.

We are asking our community, friends, and anyone moved by Lily’s story to come together for this incredible little girl. The funds raised through this page will directly support:

Lily’s Medical & Extended Recovery Expenses: Assisting with long-term care, rehabilitation, and immediate needs.
Family Travel & Living Costs: Helping her grandparents cover frequent travel between Texas and California, lodging, and essential living expenses while caring for Lily.
Lily’s Future Security: Providing a foundation of support as her family navigates the path ahead.

Lily has shown incredible strength, but her family cannot do this alone. Any contribution—no matter the size—and every share of this page makes a meaningful difference. Please keep Lily, her grandparents, and the Massey family in your thoughts and prayers.
