Over the 52 years since Historic Boulder, Inc. was founded, the organization has been directly and indirectly responsible for the preservation of over 1,300 legacy buildings...structures that, every day, assert the unique spirit of our community. Amongst Boulder's Little Libraries are some that invite a glimpse to the historic houses of the hosts.

Little Free Library (LFL) is a nonprofit organization based in St. Paul, Minnesota. The first Little Free Library book-sharing box was built by Todd H. Bol in 2009, and the LFL nonprofit was established in 2012. LFL's mission is to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Libraries.

There are more than 200,000 registered Little Free Library book-sharing boxes worldwide, found in all 50 states, in 128 countries, and across all 7 continents—even Antarctica. More than 400 million books have been shared through these little libraries, profoundly increasing book access for readers of all ages and backgrounds.
