The Rio Grande isn't just a political talking point: This is our home, and protecting it and all who live here is our daily work.

Spanning nearly a thousand miles from the Chihuahuan Desert to the coastal plains, the Living River Coalition is a network of neighbors, friends, and faith leaders coming together and actively exercising our human and land rights, protecting the environment, and cultivating health and prosperity so that all life here and passing through can safely thrive.

While buoys and razor wire are debated in Austin and DC, the Living River Coalition is on the ground by the river every single day. We are a volunteer-driven network of families and local leaders from Brownsville to El Paso fighting year-round to protect our communities.

This weekend, we are taking that daily, frontline work to the Texas State Democratic Convention in Corpus Christi. We are bringing our Lotería lonas, our migrant shoe installation, and firsthand testimonies directly to state and local leaders so we, the riverfront leaders, can speak for our river and the people who live along it.

Your donation keeps us moving: both at home and on the road. Funds go directly toward year-round community organizing, educational materials, and mileage reimbursements for our leaders driving in from Rio Grande counties: Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, Zapata, Webb, Maverick, Kinney, Val Verde, Terrell, Brewster, Presidio, Jeff Davis, Hudspeth, and El Paso.

Thank you for your support.

Funds are administered by the Frontera Federation, a community-based non-governmental organization dedicated to:

Achieving holistic well-being, equitable migration, and community-driven justice for all.
Empowering communities for justice and health equity through organizing, advocacy, and community-driven support, addressing migration and policing at the US-Mexico border and beyond.
