What if clean water could become more than a solution to today's need?

What if it could help strengthen a school, create a sustainable community asset, support local ministry, and contribute to a foundation that continues serving families for generations?

That is the vision behind The Living Water Initiative™.

And we're inviting 200 contributors to help us lay the foundation.

THIS IS A STORY THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPING FOR YEARS.

The Living Water Initiative™ did not begin with a fundraising campaign.

It began with a relationship.

MM4H Missions has been building a cross-cultural partnership with Gospel Praise Church in Mombasa, Kenya, through a progression of projects and relationships that have taught us something important:

Lasting impact requires more than meeting an immediate need.

It requires partnership.

It requires local leadership.

It requires stewardship.

And it requires thinking beyond the moment.

Our work in Kenya has included supporting immediate community needs and, importantly, participating in the development of a water borehole.

That borehole became part of a much larger story.

The water borehole helped make it possible for a school to emerge.

What began as a response to a basic need became an opportunity to support education and create something that could serve children and families beyond a single visit.

Today, we believe we are standing at the next chapter of that story.

FROM WATER BOREHOLE TO SCHOOL TO SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY ASSET

The progression matters.

WATER

Access to water addressed an immediate and fundamental need.

↓

SCHOOL

The water infrastructure became part of the foundation for Praise Academy, creating an opportunity for children to receive education in a community where resources are limited.

↓

LIVING WATER INITIATIVE™

Now we are exploring the establishment of a community-operated water distribution center that can expand access to clean water while creating a sustainable asset that can contribute to the long-term strength of the school and community.

This is why we have intentionally slowed down.

Because the next step is bigger.

And bigger requires greater stewardship.

WHY WE PRESSED PAUSE

Earlier this year, we were preparing to move toward implementation.

Then we paused.

Not because the vision changed.

Because our commitment to stewarding the vision well deepened.

There is a difference between raising money for a project and building something that people will still be talking about years from now.

We did not want to rush simply because we had momentum.

We wanted to step back, pray, listen, evaluate, and make sure the next phase was being approached with the wisdom and accountability it deserves.

This initiative is different from some of the short-term mission activities MM4H Missions has participated in over the years.

Providing shoes, school supplies, meals, sanitary products, and other necessities can meet an immediate need—and those things matter.

But The Living Water Initiative™ is designed to address something beyond a single moment.

We are working toward a sustainable community asset.

That means we have to think differently.

THIS IS NOT SIMPLY A WATER PROJECT.

Clean water is the starting point.

The larger vision is a system that can be operated and sustained locally.

We are exploring a water distribution center designed to:

Increase access to clean water.
Serve families within the surrounding community.
Operate under trusted local leadership.
Establish clear accountability and oversight.
Create an asset that can contribute to the sustainability of Praise Academy.
Reduce dependence on inconsistent outside support over time.
Create opportunities for continued community development.

This is why the initiative requires more than a construction budget.

It requires a plan.

WHY LOCAL LEADERSHIP MATTERS

We don't believe sustainable development happens when outsiders arrive with all the answers.

We believe the people closest to the community should have a meaningful voice in the solution.

That's why Gospel Praise Church Kenya is an essential part of this initiative.

Our goal is not to build something for Kenya and then leave.

Our goal is to build with our Kenyan partners.

That means listening to local leadership.

Understanding the community.

Evaluating the location.

Working through operational questions.

Identifying appropriate suppliers and installation partners.

Establishing governance and accountability.

And creating a structure that can function locally.

This is what it means to steward a cross-cultural partnership.

WHY SEPTEMBER MATTERS

On September 16–26, 2026, two missionaries from MM4H Missions—Pastor, Dr. Lexi Johnson and Ida Anderson—will travel to Kenya.

This visit will look different from previous trips.

September is a planning and groundwork visit.

We are not traveling to rush the water distribution center into existence.

We are traveling to help establish the foundation for doing it well.

During our time in Kenya, we expect to:

MEET WITH LOCAL LEADERSHIP

We will spend intentional time with Bishop Alfred Nchogu, Pastor Doreen Ogero, and Gospel Praise Church leadership to discuss the vision, responsibilities, expectations, and long-term partnership.

VISIT THE PROPOSED LOCATION

We need to see the location firsthand, understand the surrounding community, and evaluate what will be required for implementation.

EXPLORE SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OPTIONS

We will meet with appropriate suppliers and explore the materials, equipment, costs, logistics, and installation requirements involved in bringing the project to life.

DISCUSS OPERATIONS AND SUSTAINABILITY

A water distribution center is only successful if it can continue functioning after construction.

We will work through questions about operations, maintenance, management, accountability, and sustainability.

STRENGTHEN GOVERNANCE

We want clear structures for stewardship and oversight so that the asset is managed responsibly.

LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY

Perhaps most importantly, we will listen.

Because good stewardship requires understanding what the people who will actually use and operate the initiative need.

THIS IS WHERE YOUR CONTRIBUTION COMES IN.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 toward the foundation of The Living Water Initiative™.

We're inviting 200 people to become contributors at $75 each.

200 CONTRIBUTORS × $75 = $15,000

You don't have to know a missionary.

You don't have to have been on a mission trip.

You don't have to be familiar with Gospel Praise Church.

And you don't have to make a large contribution to participate.

You simply have to believe that building something that lasts is worth being part of.

Some contributors may give $75.

Others may choose to contribute more.

What matters is that we come together around a shared vision.

WHAT YOUR CONTRIBUTION IS HELPING US DO

The funds raised for this initiative are not simply being collected for a one-time event.

Funds already raised this year, along with contributions still to come, are being stewarded as seed capital for the initiative.

As we move through the planning phase, those resources will help position us to make informed decisions about implementation.

The goal is to move from:

Vision → Planning → Foundation → Implementation → Sustainability

rather than:

Need → Fundraising → Quick Build → Walk Away

We want to build wisely.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WATER DISTRIBUTION CENTER OPENS?

This is one of the most important questions we're asking.

Because opening the doors is not the finish line.

It's the beginning.

We envision a model where local leadership can operate the center, manage its resources, maintain the infrastructure, and use the resulting capacity to strengthen the surrounding community.

We want to see the initiative become less dependent on outside contributions over time—not because outside partnership is unimportant, but because sustainability is the goal.

The ultimate measure of success won't simply be whether we were able to build a water distribution center.

It will be whether the community is stronger because it exists.

THIS IS KINGDOM STEWARDSHIP.

For us, missions isn't simply about traveling somewhere and doing something good.

It is about obedience. Relationship. Discipleship. Stewardship. And multiplication.

We believe Yah calls us to respond to real needs while also thinking about what those responses can produce beyond the immediate moment.

That's why this initiative matters so deeply to us.

We aren't simply trying to leave something behind.

We're trying to help establish something that can continue producing after we're gone.

BUILDING SOMETHING THAT LASTS

There is a reason we keep returning to that phrase.

Building something that lasts.

Because the vision isn't limited to September. September is a step. The water distribution center is a step.

The school is a step. The borehole was a step. The relationships are a step. Each one becomes part of a larger story.

And we don't know yet how far that story will go.

But we know this: We want to steward the next chapter well.

WILL YOU BECOME ONE OF THE 200?

You may never travel to Kenya.

You may never meet the families who will use the water.

You may never stand at the site where the distribution center will be built.

But you can still be part of what happens there.

You can become one of the 200 contributors helping lay the foundation.

$75 is not the whole vision.

But 200 people saying yes can create something significant.

If Yah stirs your heart to participate, we invite you to become a contributor today.

BECOME A CONTRIBUTOR

FOLLOW THE JOURNEY

This is not the end of the story.

Over the coming months, we will share updates from Kenya, the planning process, the decisions being made, the challenges we encounter, and the progress toward implementation.

We want you to see what it actually takes to move from an idea to a sustainable community asset.

Because we believe people should be able to see where their contribution is going and what it is helping make possible.

Thank you for believing that generosity can do more than meet today's need.

Thank you for believing in partnership.

Thank you for believing in sustainable impact.

And thank you for helping us build something that lasts.
