This open mic invites you to immerse yourself in stories, songs, poetry, and performances in a vibrant celebration of Filipino culture, history, and community. At My Haus, a cozy Filipino Restaurant and Bakery, our event promises an unforgettable experience. We will be selling Filipino street food along with Luto and Learn desserts such as Halo Halo, Mango Sago, and Lychee/ Logan Mix (a special take of Buko Pandan). Featuring a lineup of talented performers and speakers, "Kasaysayan" showcases the diversity and vibrancy of Filipino expression. Whether through music, poetry, comedy, or dance, each performance is a testament to the enduring spirit of our people. The spotlight isn't just reserved for our featured artists. Liyab Collective, a grassroots Filipino organization, proceeds will go towards future events hosted by Liyab to continue the mission and vision in serving the Filipino community in the Inland Empire. 2. My Haus, a Filipino Owned Business, proceeds will go towards supporting veteran family owned Filipino Restaurant and Bakery in the Inland Empire. 3. LINKED, an Asian Pacific Islander youth and young adults leadership internship to empower our community, bridge the intergenerational gap, & decolonize mental health in the Inland Empire.
