The Symphony Volunteer Council of the Alabama Symphonic Association will hold the annual Lois Pickard Music Scholarship Luncheon on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Hoover Country Club to celebrate this season's Lois Pickard Concerto Competition winners and continue to raise support for music education and scholarships.

About the Competition

The Lois Pickard Concerto Competition will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the University of Montevallo. Sponsored by the Symphony Volunteer Council, the Lois Pickard Concerto Competition is open to serious and gifted young musicians ages 12 through seniors in high school in the state of Alabama. First and second-place scholarships are awarded in each of these three divisions: strings, piano, and brass/winds/percussion. Winners will perform and receive scholarships at the spring luncheon.
