2026 Love Some1 with GLUT1

Hi, my name is Georgia and I am a kid with Glut1 Deficiency Syndrome. I am a bright, loving, caring, and cheeky soon-to-be 5 years old who loves a good dance, dramatic play, and yogurt (half cream/half yogurt - gotta be keto!). I am not defined by my condition, however my condition often defines what my quality of life looks like. What I am learning now that I am getting older is that progress comes at a slow and high personal effort, often called perseverance, and it can be taken away in an instant if my condition plays up. This is why it's important to support research, knowledge sharing, and support system for families like mine so we can continue to move forward with managing our lives. The harder we push, the higher chances we have to better treatments, better understanding, better support. And, if I close my eyes and let myself hope, maybe even a cure.
