The LRAA basketball community is getting back together, Saturday, November 7, at Fremont High in Oakland.

In the 1970s and 80s, the La Raza Athletic Association basketball league had more than 40 teams. Now we’re inviting those old teams, players, rivals, and the next generation back to the gym for the LRAA 3-on-3 Shooting Tournament.

Re-form your old team or register individually and we’ll place you on one. Or bring a new team. The tournament will go light on the knees so the competition involves free throws, midrange shots, three-pointers, and timed shooting rounds. 3 games guaranteed for everyone who registers.

We’ll have a DJ, food, LRAA merchandise, and plenty of old-school competition. We will also have a teen basketball exhibition game.

Most importantly, this is a fundraiser supporting LRAA youth sports programs and activities.

Bring your shot. Bring your team. Let’s get the old LRAA basketball family back in the gym.
