VAH is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2020. We are uniquely completely youth-led by diverse leaders primarily in our Houston community. VAH started out as a virtual organization to address the heightened food insecurity that came with COVID-19. We noticed full-time artists losing their gigs as the world shut down. Combining deep passion for the fine arts with philanthropy, we used arts to feed hungry children and families across the US. As we moved in-person, there grew a need for fundraising to put on shows and expand our platform opportunities. Since 2020, we have enabled over 110,000 meals for hungry people, and at the same time, have given 250+ deserving performers merit-based opportunities to perform for our versatile events.

We are excited to announce our 3rd annual arts festival, which will be held on October 7th in Houston, TX. This year, we are hosting 25 young, professional artists from around the nation, providing them a performance platform and promoting arts education. We are asking for your donation to help us cover the costs of the festival, including artist accommodations, all meals and snacks, auditorium rental, sound, lighting, equipment, food insecurity and paying for these deserving artists. Your donations play a vital role in sustaining and enhancing the quality of our event weekend, allowing us to continue fostering artistic talent and cultural exchange.
