Jordynne's foster family means well but lacks the tools or knowledge to care for her textured hair, leaving her feeling out of place and unseen. Each school day becomes a battlefield of silent stares and unkind whispers, eroding her confidence little by little. This is the reality for countless foster youth with ethnic hair and skin needs that go unmet—a constant reminder of difference and neglect. But imagine the transformative power of feeling cared for, of receiving the right tools, products, education, and services to celebrate their identity.
