Caring for Your Piece of the World is a course designed to help people relate to their life with intention, positivity and productivity. It is based on the belief that human beings are naturally social, creative, unique, driven to connection and oriented towards stewardship. It helps promote the process of becoming aware of unconscious beliefs related to culture, worldview and priorities, bringing those beliefs into consciousness and redefining them both in thought and in action.

I’ve divided priorities into four categories. The first is You which includes care for your body and mental well-being. The second is Your Kin which is the people around you ranging from your close relationships, the people you are responsible for caring for, your community and all the way out to all people. The third is Your Space which is all the different physical spaces you occupy. The last is Your Data which is the information you take in and interact with from necessary information to enriching information. The course will help define specifics within each of these categories and help prioritize where we spend time and energy. This will also take into account the stage of life and other circumstances that factor in.

My hope is that this will bring many people to a place of peace around what they’re already doing. Many of us wish or think we should be doing more when really we’re very close to acting on our priorities. I also hope it will help young people carve out their place in the world which is increasingly ideologically polarizing and demanding without being supportive. For those inclined to pursue spiritual development, this will also act as a solid foundation for intensive transformational work. We often talk about how many spiritual teachings were meant for people who lived in a specific context and how our current cultural context causes the teachings to skew. This has led to misunderstandings, misinterpretations, frustrations and over intellectualizing of spiritual work. This will help alleviate and prevent many of these pitfalls. This is a course that shows what real integration looks like and a system of achieving it.

Financial support will be needed to build, host and distribute the course and is deeply appreciated. This will be the beginning of a series of courses that will help Inner Currents become financially sustainable and independent.
