Pokagon Fund Harbor Country Meat Supplement Program

Partnering with the Pokagon Fund, The New Buffalo Yacht Club and The Harbor Country Rotary Foundation are raising money to help individuals who are facing food insecurity in our community.

Twice a month, the Pokagon Fund pays for Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry to serve local families and individuals at Harbert Community Church in Sawyer. A partnership between The Episcopal Church of the Mediator, Harbert Community Church and Harbor Country Rotary Club offers necessary volunteers to work each distribution.

While the Pokagon Fund currently funds the purchase and inclusion of meat, it only covers one distribution per month. To help expand this vital service, the Yacht Club, in coordination with the Rotary Club, has launched a fundraising campaign to supplement the budget. Your donations will help local families and children in dire need, especially now as food assistance programs continue to face cuts.
