Is it okay to send a child to bed hungry?

How many mothers hear that as they tuck their son or daughter into bed at night?

Too many! I hear mothers tell me this weekly, and I see their tears as they tell me.

Our job is simple: We feed folks! Our goal is simple: That one mother will never hear those words again!

The Monastery of the Holy Martyrs and Orthodox Worker Communities serve the homeless and the near homeless, the disenfranchised and marginalized, those unseen, unheard, and unwanted. Many are families living in drafty houses and apartments. Some live in their cars. And there are kids in these families. With growing food poverty, mothers are forced to make hard decisions when putting a little food on the family table. The number of mothers and kids living with food poverty is increasing.

Your Community Pantry and the monastery's outreach teams work hard to help these mothers, but we can not do this without your help.

Your unceasing prayers and continued support are needed.

The monastery needs:

Diapers, all sizes;
Formula;
Baby Cereal and Food;
Milk;
All much more

All this costs money, and it would be impossible without your continued support. Recurring donations help budget expenses, and we spend less time asking for money and more time helping mothers. You can also go shopping and bring these items to the monastery any afternoon.
