Augustine Mallinson lived his life as art

He loved his family. His family included many who were not blood related. It included folks who sometimes the world had ignored. He loved history (especially the history of food and cocktails), philosophy, graphic design, and music. He was on his way in the world, ready to build a new life. He was saving up money in a jar to afford a proper wedding and maybe even a child.

When he died, his world was his fiancé, Sydnie, with whom he was building a life and a big dream. We are inviting friends and loved ones who would like to express their love for what Auggie loved to contribute to this fund. Your financial support will go to cover costs for a memorial and related expenses and provide for the family to take some time for themselves to recover; the rest will help provide support for the love of his life since high school who is now heartbroken. Sydnie is an integral part of our inner family, as anyone who knows us could see.

If Auggie were here to tell you himself: this is how he would respond to the question “How can I help in this moment?” But if you can't help financially he would invite you to live your life as if it were your art. On the side of one of his caps read these words that he lived by: BREATHING IN JOY--BREATHING OUT PEACE.
