Your partnership would ensure these silent retreats remain accessible and affordable in 2027 where the guided time of collective silence, solitude and spiritual direction creates space for connection and care in a world where being seen and heard, listened to and loved are not always easy to find!

We are grateful for God’s faithfulness in growing this offering since its inception in 2015. You may know that this silent retreat was first offered as a support to sisters pursuing ordination. However, the onset of the global pandemic compelled us to reimagine how we can offer this sacred spaciousness and connection to our friends as we have navigated new ways of being in the world.

Looking back

Since 2020, we have offered 25 Refresh silent retreats: 10 virtual and 15 in person, ranging in length from 4 hours to a full weekend and varying in size from 2 to 22 participants. Hosting more than 325 participants in these retreats, whatever the group size, we have always set the table in the same way, welcoming people into the space with a team of at least 2 and as many as 5 spiritual directors and guides.

Looking ahead

We have seen significant change and growth in the diversity of people seeking out spaces like Refresh. In recent years we have seen more expectant mothers, couples, families and friend groups attend Refresh. We even welcomed our first international retreatant earlier this year!

Our goal is raise $500 in monthly commitments before before the end of 2026. This can look like:

20 friends at $25/monthly
10 friends at $50/monthly
5 friends at $100/monthly
4 friends at $125/monthly

We also hold space for deep listening and connection through drop in groups and 1:1 and group spiritual direction virtually alongside the in person gatherings year round.

A significant percentage of retreatants work in ministry, nonprofit, education, counseling, or some other care-giving role. They choose to attend Refresh retreats as their own form of respite and care for their soul.
