Our goal is to raise $11,200 to combat two of the deadliest barriers between Mississippi kidney patients and the care that keeps them alive: getting to treatment and surviving the financial fallout of the disease. Funds are split between reliable dialysis transportation and emergency relief for groceries, utilities, and medication, meeting patients at the exact moment need becomes crisis. We operate on a 90/10 model: 90 cents of every dollar goes directly to patient care, roughly $10,000 straight to rides, meals, prescriptions, and lives, with just 10 cents sustaining the operations that make this work possible.

$50 gets one patient to life-saving treatments. For a dialysis patient in Mississippi, a missed appointment isn't an inconvenience, it's a medical emergency. Treatment happens three times a week, every week, no exceptions. Yet reliable transportation remains one of the deadliest barriers to consistent care across our state.

Kidney disease never arrives alone. It brings a cascade of costs that push patients past the breaking point: a renal diet demands fresh produce and low-sodium foods most low-income patients can't afford; a utility shutoff can disable home dialysis equipment; an uncovered prescription can mean going without medication for weeks.

This fund catches patients before they fall. Through our assistance portal, qualifying individuals apply for emergency relief based on documented need.
