A farmers market-to-meal cooking experience with Chef Arran Stark

A small group of aspiring home cooks will meet up with Chef Arran Stark of Jefferson Healthcare at the Port Townsend Wednesday Farmers Market on June 17, at 3pm. Shop the market for fresh, seasonal ingredients and bring them back to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Community Kitchen to create a meal together. In the cooking process, you will learn culinary tricks to bring out the nutrition and flavor of farm-direct ingredients and methods cooking strategies. Sit down to a shared dinner with delicious leftovers to bring home.

Class Flow

3:00–4:00pm | Market Shopping Experience
Participants meet at the Port Townsend Wednesday Farmers Market and shop for ingredients together.
4:00–6:00pm | Cooking Class & Meal
Participants travel (independently) to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Community Kitchen, where Arran will lead a hands-on cooking class. Participants prepare and enjoy a meal together, with the possibility of leftovers to bring home and skills that will last a lifetime.
