Some of our advertisers (one crucial part of our business model) have drawn back on their ad spends because their own businesses have been directly affected by the changes we have recently experienced in the way our society lives, works and shops.

But the necessary work of producing good journalism must go on. In this current pandemic situation, the importance of timely, accurate and helpful information is particularly significant. Our reporters and other staff will continue to sometimes place themselves at greater risk of exposure to the coronavirus as they perform their work. They do this because they want to serve you, our community, even during this pandemic, just as they do at all times. However, professional reporting (and delivering that news to you, whether in print or digitally) doesn’t take place without costs.
