Each year, Mission Bit empowers 1,700+ Bay Area students with free, equitable access to STEM opportunities.

Over the years, we’ve reached thousands of students with computer science education that embraces their diverse identities and experiences. With a 44% growth in students served from 2022 to 2023, we continue to bridge the digital divide and inspire the next generation of innovators. Our programs have reached 30+ schools and community organizations, and 80% of our alumni are studying STEM in a college or post-secondary educational program. From teaching coding fundamentals to fostering pathways into esteemed colleges like Harvard, Yale, and UC Berkeley, Mission Bit is shaping the future of tech, one student at a time.

When only 4% of San Francisco public high school students are enrolled in a computer science course, we know there’s more work to do. But we see it as a challenge to be solved. (And like our students, we love a good challenge.)
