Wayland is famous for its colonial homes, but tucked among the town's wooded roads is a lesser-known architectural legacy, born after WW II when a wave of forward-thinking architects and builders reimagined what a home could be and how it could situate in a .

On Sunday, October 25, from 12–4 p.m., the Wayland Museum & Historical Society invites you inside five of these remarkable homes for our first-ever Mid-Century Modern House Tour in Wayland. From Core Contemporary designs to classic Deck Houses each home reflects the clean lines, natural light, and bold vision that defined an era.

Last year, our tour of Wayland's antique colonial homes held in honor of the nation's 250th anniversary drew history loving and enthusiastic crowds. This fall, we turn the page to a more modern side of Wayland's history.
