2026 SANTA PARADE ANNOUNCEMENT

An Important Announcement from the Media Santa Parade Committee:

After much discussion and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to retire the Santa Parade, Fun Run, and Block Party.

For more than a decade, our small but dedicated team of four volunteers has worked tirelessly to bring this beloved tradition to the Media community and help kick off the holiday season each year.

We have been incredibly fortunate to receive generous support from local businesses, organizations, and community members who have helped make these events possible. However, rising costs associated with entertainment, musical acts, logistics, and event operations have created significant financial challenges in recent years. Despite our best efforts, we are unable to secure the resources necessary to move forward with this year's events.

This was not a decision we made lightly, and we are deeply saddened to take this step.

Should someone be interested in carrying these traditions forward, the Parade Committee would be happy to provide guidance, resources, and support to help ensure their continued success.

Thank you for your tremendous support of our efforts throughout the years. We are deeply grateful for the enthusiasm and generosity of this community, and we wish each and every one of you a wonderful summer season!
