The Martinsville-Henry County SPCA staff workers start each day to the chorus of barks and symphony of meows of animals living safely at the shelter through your generous support. You have given the 70+ animals housed on a daily basis at the shelter a second (and sometimes third or fourth) chance at finding an adoptive home.

This year, we are asking you to take your support to the next degree by increasing your giving at least one membership level.

How does my membership impact the SPCA?

The SPCA is facing staggering rises in the costs of required consumables such as anesthesia medication, vaccines, antibiotics, food, and daily cleaning supplies. Without your support, we cannot continue to offer the high quality of care that is our standard.

In 2025, the SPCA will be taking on the new challenge of extensive renovations to restore the animal housing areas to peak operating conditions. These renovations include replacing rusting doors and frames, resealing the floor for proper water management, repainting and repairing puppy rooms, expanding the Isolation and Puppy Quarantine space, and more. Renovations are funded entirely through endowments set up for this specific task. Your donations and membership will continue to go directly to the animals!

Your membership gift will continue to have a huge impact on the animals who are at the SPCA waiting for their second chance homes during and after the renovation process.

You support rehoming around 1,300 animals yearly.
Your gift helps with the spay/neuter of almost 1,500 animals already in loving homes.
You support volunteer opportunities for people of all ages.

How Do I Make a Donation?

All forms of donations are welcome! We accept Paypal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and recurring donations. Giving on the go? Text SPCAMEMBER to 53555 to give. In-person and mailed donations are always welcome as well.

You can also make a stock gift (simply call the SPCA at 276-638-7297), Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) through Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) from your IRA, or give through your Donor Advised Fund via our online donation form.
