The Memorial Healing Garden at Enoch Cemetery will include personalized elements in honor of Tausha Haight, and each of her children, Macie, Briley, Ammon, Sienna, & Gavin. Although, inspired from the tragic loss of this beautiful family in January 2023, the vision is broader than a single tragedy.

This garden will be a healing space for anyone in our community who has experienced loss, grief, or trauma.

Research shows that meaningful spaces and rituals can play an important role in the grieving process. We envision butterfly releases, painted rock trains, and small group gatherings. This garden will provide a peaceful place where healing is encouraged, memories are honored, and community is strengthened.

The proposed design offers a 16' x 16’ metal gazebo, walking path, memorial sculpture by a local artist, and intentional flowers and plants that will attract monarch butterflies and create a calm, safe, and healing environment.

We cannot change what happened, but we can choose how we respond.

Years from now, people may not remember every detail of this tragedy, but they will see a beautiful space that tells them something important about Enoch... that when faced with heartbreak, this community chose compassion, unity, remembrance, and healing.

Enoch City will be providing in-kind space at the Enoch City Cemetery.

As the cemetery expansion is being developed, this memorial healing garden will be incorporated into the overall design in a way that complements and beautifies the cemetery landscape.

The Memorial Healing Garden at the Enoch Cemetery is a project of Community Trauma Recovery (CTR), a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit in the State of Utah.

Funds donated through this campaign will be earmarked for the Memorial Healing Garden. If there is excess after the project is complete, remaining funds will be donated to the Community Trauma Recovery general fund, which will help individuals & families process and heal in the aftermath of traumatic events.
